She urged the new leadership to remain committed to the ideals of the union by promoting peace, cooperation, accountability, and professionalism in their relationship with both members and the management of the Council.
Dr. Ohanele further advised the executives not to use their positions to create unnecessary conflicts or confrontations with the government or management but rather to serve as responsible representatives who will always seek dialogue, understanding, and constructive engagement in addressing issues affecting workers.
She stressed that effective leadership is built on humility, sacrifice, and a genuine commitment to serving others.
Addressing the gathering, the AUPCTRE Oyo State Chairman, Comrade Yusuf Abiodun, congratulated the newly elected officers and reminded them that leadership is a call to service and not an avenue for personal gain.

According to him, constructive advice from the union is always welcome and plays an important role in improving the welfare of workers and strengthening industrial harmony.
He, however, cautioned the executives against expecting praise at all times, noting that true leaders are judged by their commitment, fairness, transparency, and willingness to make difficult decisions in the interest of those they represent.
