 FEDERATION OF BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB HOLDS MONTHLY MEETING, URGES MEMBERS TO OBTAIN PVCs


At the monthly meeting of the Federation of Boys and Girls Club, Comrade Adeyemo Ayodeji urged all members to actively participate in the democratic process by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).


He emphasized that every eligible citizen has a civic responsibility to vote and encouraged members to ensure they register and collect their PVCs so they can elect credible and capable leaders in the forthcoming elections. According to him, the future of the nation depends on the active participation of responsible citizens.


In his remarks, the President of the Federation of Boys and Girls Club, Comrade Oyeleke Oyebode, welcomed and appreciated Comrade Adeyemo Ayodeji for attending the monthly meeting and for his words of encouragement to the members.


The President also commended members for their unwavering commitment, loyalty, and continued support for the activities and growth of the club.


Furthermore, Comrade Oyeleke Oyebode expressed sincere appreciation to the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Falana Adebowale, for the palliative support provided to the club. He noted that the gesture demonstrated the Chairman's commitment to youth development and welfare, while assuring members that the club would continue to work towards empowering young people and promoting positive values in society.

FIVE OYO STATE ATHLETES QUALIFY TO REPRESENT NIGERIA AT THE CANADA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP  By Ayobami Fakorede  The Oyo State Government is proud to announce that five athletes from its Rowing, Canoe, and Sailing team have earned the honour of representing Nigeria at the national level, following their outstanding performance at the just concluded National Canoe Sprint/Kayak Trials. The trials, which form part of the 2026 programme of activities of the National Rowing, Canoe and Sailing Federation, were held at Jabi Lake, Abuja, from March 22 to 23, 2026.
