COACH ADEYEMO AYODEJI LAUDS PILLAR OF SPORTS FOUNDATION FOR GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT, ENDORSES ONE-DAY SEMINAR FOR OYO COACHES



The Chairman of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Oyo State Chapter, Coach Adeyemo Ayodeji, has commended the Pillar of Sports Foundation for its unwavering commitment to the development of grassroots football through the organization of a one-day capacity-building seminar for football clubs and academies affiliated with the Oyo State Football Association.


The seminar, organized by the Pillar of Sports Foundation in collaboration with the Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) and supported by the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Oyo State Chapter, is themed "Building Champions, Transforming Lives, Inspiring Generations." The programme is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 8th August, by 11:00 a.m., at the Academy Suite, Moremi Hall, Oke Ado, Ibadan.


Speaking ahead of the event, Coach Adeyemo described the initiative as a timely intervention that reflects the Foundation's passion for giving back to grassroots football and empowering coaches, academies, and clubs with modern knowledge and best practices.


According to him, football coaching continues to evolve globally, making it essential for coaches to regularly update their knowledge, improve their technical and tactical understanding, and embrace modern coaching methodologies capable of producing well-rounded players.



He noted that seminars of this nature provide a valuable platform for learning, networking, and exchanging ideas among coaches, academy owners, and football administrators, while also contributing to the overall growth of football in Oyo State.


Coach Adeyemo therefore encouraged all members of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, football clubs, academies, and other stakeholders across the state to take advantage of the opportunity by participating actively in the seminar.



He also expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Pillar of Sports Foundation and the Oyo State Football Association Chairman, Oba James Odeniran the Alakinyele of Akinyele for partnering to organize the programme, describing the collaboration as a significant investment in the future of football development in the state.


The NFCA Chairman reaffirmed the association's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote coaches' education, grassroots talent development, and the advancement of football in Oyo State and Nigeria.


The one-day seminar is expected to attract football coaches, academy operators, club officials, and football stakeholders from across Oyo State, with discussions centered on improving coaching standards, nurturing young talents, and building a sustainable future for grassroots football.
