OYSSC New General Manager Meets Directors, Sports Officers, Coaches, and Staff
She commended the dedication, commitment, and hard work of the coaches, sports officers, and athletes, emphasizing her desire to see everyone continue to progress and excel. She noted that her administration is committed to ensuring that the Oyo State Sports Council attains greater heights and records outstanding achievements.
Mrs. Adegoke urged all staff members to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties. She also acknowledged the remarkable performances and contributions of the Council's coaches, sports officers, and athletes to the development of sports in Oyo State.
The General Manager further called for unity, teamwork, and collective responsibility among all stakeholders, stressing that success can only be achieved through collaboration. She assured members of staff that her office remains open to everyone and encouraged them to freely share ideas and concerns that would contribute to the growth of sports in the state.
She encouraged athletes, coaches, and sports officers to embrace the spirit of the popular Oyo State slogan, "Ajisebi Oyo Lari, Oyo Kii Se Egbe Baba Enikankan," emphasizing the need to continue projecting the good image of Oyo State through sporting competitions at local, national, and international levels.
Mrs. Adegoke charged coaches to intensify efforts in identifying and nurturing young talents, stressing the importance of the "Catch Them Young" initiative as a foundation for sustained sporting excellence. She also urged sports officers to actively promote their various sports and seek sponsorship opportunities that would support their development programs.
The General Manager encouraged coaches to continually upgrade their knowledge and skills by embracing modern technologies and contemporary coaching methods. She reiterated the importance of working together as one family to ensure the continued success and growth of the Oyo State Sports Council.
Mrs. Adegoke further described sports as a prestigious profession whose rewards extend beyond the workplace and are recognized across the world.
During the meeting, all directors, sports officers, coaches, and staff members introduced themselves to the new General Manager and warmly welcomed her to the Council. They also appealed to her to undertake regular visits to the various sports departments.
Mrs. Adegoke assured them that she would make such visits regularly in order to maintain close interaction with all departments and better understand their operational needs and challenges.
