INTER LAGOS SECURE HISTORIC PROMOTION TO NPFL

Inter Lagos Football Club have officially secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), marking a historic milestone for the club with two matches still left to play in the current campaign.

Inter Lagos become the second team to confirm their place in the elite division this season, following the earlier qualification of Doma United. Their promotion comes on the back of a remarkable and consistent run of form throughout the league campaign.

The Lagos-based side sealed qualification after amassing an impressive 28 points from 14 matches. Their attacking strength and defensive solidity have been key to their success, having scored 24 goals while conceding just 10, giving them a superior goal difference of +14.

Despite the mathematical possibility of being caught, Inter Lagos’ promotion is effectively beyond doubt. Their closest challengers, Beyond Limits FA, currently sit second on the log with 25 points from 15 matches. With only one game remaining for Beyond Limits FA, the maximum points they can reach is 28.

However, for Beyond Limits FA to overtake Inter Lagos, they would need an extraordinary and highly improbable scenario — a massive goal margin victory in their final match, coupled with Inter Lagos losing their remaining two games heavily without scoring and conceding at least nine goals. Realistically, this scenario is virtually impossible, thereby confirming Inter Lagos’ place in the NPFL.
