I’ll Comb Europe, NPFL for Talents — Chelle Declares Ahead of Unity Cup 🇳🇬🦅

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has revealed his plans to scout extensively across Europe and the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as he prepares for the upcoming Unity Cup.

Speaking on his intentions, Chelle emphasized that the tournament presents a valuable opportunity to assess fresh talents and expand the national team pool.

“The Unity Cup offers an opportunity to evaluate new players. I will search Europe and invite new talents of Nigerian descent, along with those who were previously called up but did not get the opportunity to play,” he said.

The coach also made it clear that home-based players will not be left out of his plans.

“Prominent players from the Nigeria Premier Football League will also be taken into account, as I will be observing several domestic league matches from now until the season concludes.”

This move signals a balanced approach by Chelle, blending foreign-based prospects with standout performers from the NPFL — a strategy many fans have long called for.

With competition for places set to intensify, the Unity Cup could serve as a defining platform for emerging stars to stake their claim in the Super Eagles squad.
