The stage is set for another exciting season of women’s football as the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership draws have been officially released.

The new season will kick off on November 26, 2025, and is expected to conclude on April 22, 2026.

  6. Ekiti Queens FC

  7. Naija Ratels FC

At the end of the season, six teams will be relegated — making the competition even fiercer as clubs battle for supremacy and survival.

NSC Constitutes Organizing Team for 2027 Africa School Games

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced a 21-man Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the Africa School Games, slated to hold in Abuja, Nigeria, in 2027. Nigeria was unanimously announced as the host of the 2027 edition of the Games during an extraordinary session of the ANOCA Executive Committee held on the sidelines. The NSC has been proactive in putting together a world class event, which prompted its leadership to announce the LOC. According to the Director General of the Commission, Honorable Bukola Olopade, “We are glad to host the Africa School Games.
