As we step into another Sunday, the Kolapo Ishola Vanguard (KIV) calls on everyone to pause, reflect and consider the impact of their actions on the lives of others.


Leadership is not defined only by titles, positions or authority. True leadership is demonstrated through service, compassion, integrity and the willingness to make a positive difference in the lives of others.


The Vanguard reflects on the enduring legacy of His Excellency, Chief Kolapo Olawuyi Ishola, former Executive Governor of Oyo State, and the importance of preserving values that promote selfless service and commitment to humanity.


A legacy is not merely what we leave behind; it is the positive influence we create while we are here. Every act of kindness, every person we support and every community we help can become part of a lasting legacy.

FIVE OYO STATE ATHLETES QUALIFY TO REPRESENT NIGERIA AT THE CANADA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP  By Ayobami Fakorede  The Oyo State Government is proud to announce that five athletes from its Rowing, Canoe, and Sailing team have earned the honour of representing Nigeria at the national level, following their outstanding performance at the just concluded National Canoe Sprint/Kayak Trials. The trials, which form part of the 2026 programme of activities of the National Rowing, Canoe and Sailing Federation, were held at Jabi Lake, Abuja, from March 22 to 23, 2026. The highly competitive event brought together some of the best canoeing and kayaking talents from across the country, all vying for a place on the national team.
