Gov. Seyi Makinde Declares Readiness For Nationwide Campaign On Good Governance.

Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, has declared his readiness to take the message of good governance and development across Nigeria as part of his presidential ambition.

Governor Makinde stated this on Saturday at the Eruwa Palace during the ceremony where he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland by all Obas in Ibarapaland.

Speaking after receiving the title during the 1st coronation anniversary of HRM Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin I, Eleruwa of Eruwa, the Governor said the honour would further strengthen his resolve to serve Nigerians.

"I’m ready to travel the length and breadth of Nigeria, preaching the message of good governance and development to Nigerians, as part of my presidential ambition," Governor Makinde said.

He noted that the governance approach of the Omituntun administration in Oyo State, which has recorded progress in education, health, infrastructure, security and agriculture, is a model that can be adapted to address national challenges.

According to him, the conferment by the royal fathers of Ibarapaland is both an honour and a responsibility to continue to promote unity, development, and accountable leadership.

Governor Makinde added that his planned nationwide engagement will focus on sharing practical solutions, fostering national unity, and listening to the aspirations of Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The event was attended by traditional rulers from across Ibarapaland, members of the State Executive Council, Federal Lawmakers, members of house of Assembly,  political leaders, and other dignitaries.
