NPFL: SHOOTING STARS APPOINT SALISU YUSUF, UNVEIL FOUR NEW PARTNERS AHEAD OF 2026/27 SEASON

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan have intensified preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with the appointment of experienced Nigerian tactician Salisu Yusuf as the club’s new Technical Adviser.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, during a press conference where the club also unveiled four new strategic partners as part of a broader plan to reposition the Oluyole Warriors both on and off the pitch.

The newly unveiled partners are Kelme, Chowdeck, Bovas and Ideas House, with the partnerships expected to provide additional support to the club in areas including sportswear, commercial development, logistics, branding and other operational activities.

The development marks an important step in Shooting Stars’ preparations for the new NPFL campaign, as the historic Ibadan club looks to build a stronger team and improve on its performance in the previous season.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Mr. Lekan Salami, said the appointment of Salisu Yusuf and the unveiling of the new partners were part of deliberate efforts to strengthen the club and create the right environment for success.

According to him, the club’s ambition goes beyond activities on the football pitch, with the management also focused on developing a stronger commercial structure and building partnerships capable of supporting the long-term growth of Shooting Stars.

The appointment of Salisu Yusuf is expected to bring valuable experience and tactical expertise to the Oluyole Warriors. The seasoned coach has vast experience in Nigerian football and has previously handled several top clubs and national teams.

His arrival is expected to provide fresh direction to the technical department as Shooting Stars prepare for what promises to be a highly competitive 2026/27 NPFL season.
