OYSSC WELCOMES MRS. OLUBISI JEJELOLA ADEGOKE AS NEW GENERAL MANAGER

The Oyo State Sports Council is pleased to announce the appointment and assumption of office of Mrs. Olubisi Jejelola Adegoke as the new General Manager of the Council.

Mrs. Adegoke, who previously served as the Director of Sports in the Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports, was elevated to the position of General Manager and officially posted to the Oyo State Sports Council on June 4, 2026.

Her appointment marks a significant milestone in the continued efforts of the Oyo State Government to strengthen sports administration and development across the state. As a seasoned sports administrator with vast experience and an impressive record of service within the sporting sector, Mrs. Adegoke brings to her new role a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and leadership expertise that will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and advancement of sports in Oyo State.

Over the years, Mrs. Adegoke has distinguished herself through her commitment to sports development, athlete welfare, talent discovery, grassroots sports promotion, and effective sports management. Her dedication and passion for the development of sports have earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues, athletes, coaches, and stakeholders within and beyond Oyo State.

The Oyo State Sports Council recognizes the enormous responsibilities that come with leading one of the most vibrant sports institutions in Nigeria. However, considering Mrs.

Adegoke's extensive experience, deep understanding of sports administration, and proven capacity for excellence, there is every confidence that she is well equipped to provide the visionary leadership needed to take the Council to greater heights.

Her emergence as General Manager comes at a crucial period when the Council is intensifying efforts to improve sporting infrastructure, nurture young talents, enhance athletes' performances, and consolidate Oyo State's position as one of Nigeria's leading sporting states. 

Her leadership is expected to further strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, promote innovation in sports management, and create more opportunities for athletes and sports enthusiasts across the state.
