ABUJA SUBMISSION SETTLES OYO ADC PRIMARY DEBATE, Dr. ADEDUNTAN CONFIRMED WINNER




ABUJA, MAY 31, 2026

The Chairman of the Governorship Primary Election Committee of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) for Oyo State, Mr. Harrison Akpojaro, has formally submitted tabulated results of the May 22, 2026 governorship primary election to the National Organising Secretary of the party, Barrister Chinedu Idigo, in Abuja.


The submission, made on May 30, 2026, was executed under the penalty of pain and perjury, affirming Dr. Azeez Adeduntan as the authentic and lawful winner of the primary election duly witnessed and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).


The officially tabulated results as submitted by the Committee Chairman are as follows:


Dr. Azeez Adeduntan — 13,690 votes

Alagbe Gbemileke — 3,400 votes

Adegoke Adegboyega — 500 votes

Niyi Aborisade — 1,360 votes

Ilaka Lukman — 410 votes.


A duplicate signed copy of the certified statement of results was formally presented to Dr. Azeez Adeduntan in Abuja today, May 31, 2026, as evidenced by pictorial documentation at the occasion.


It is hereby placed on record that the primary election of May 22, 2026 was legally convened, conducted in full compliance with extant party guidelines, and duly monitored by INEC. Accordingly, any individual parading himself as the product of a parallel or illegal primary does so at his own legal peril. Such conduct is categorically actionable and will be met with the full weight of the law.
