As the boxing election draws near, this Saturday, 16th August 2025

I proudly present to you a man of culture, respect, and integrity: Adura Olalehin.


He is a man who has worked tirelessly for the boxing association, a man who dreams of seeing our boxing community achieve global success. 


He has consistently supported both boxers and coaches, and has spoken positively about the sport at home and abroad.


I appeal to all of us, let us stand together and vote for this true Yoruba son so that our people have a strong voice in the boxing community.

It would not be right to give away this opportunity to someone from outside our region. Our own son understands our needs, our culture, and our vision for the sport. 


Now is the time to rally around him.

To our coaches and supporters all across the Southwest, spread the message. Tell your people to cast their votes for Adura Olalehin. Remember this saying: “Yoruba Ronu” let us think, unite, and act wisely.


Don’t let anyone deceive us or use us. Let us support our dear brother and son. 


Together, we can make him the Southwest Zonal Chairman. I assure you, we will never regret it.

NSC Constitutes Organizing Team for 2027 Africa School Games

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced a 21-man Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the Africa School Games, slated to hold in Abuja, Nigeria, in 2027. Nigeria was unanimously announced as the host of the 2027 edition of the Games during an extraordinary session of the ANOCA Executive Committee held on the sidelines. The NSC has been proactive in putting together a world class event, which prompted its leadership to announce the LOC.
